Richard Batty
Mr. Batty has a broad background in business planning, marketing
and operations for Fortune 50 and startup companies, particularly
in the technology sector. He has extensive experience in preparing
forecasts, budgets, and business plans for new product, capital expenditure,
staffing and schedule requirements that have resulted in substantial
revenue generation and cost reductions. He also has deep experience
in defining customer requirements for product features and in financial
analysis.
His operations and general management experience includes
leading a team of 40 through a $34 million IPO for an enterprise
software
product. Mr. Batty has built strategic partner relationships at companies
such as Autodesk where he developed and managed relationships with
Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and Apple.
Richard has specific experience
in enterprise software, including CRM and directories, as in his
roles as Vice President Marketing
at Radiant Logic, Inc. and as General Manager at ReSourcePhoenix.com.
He has defined and led marketing initiatives, liaised with journalists
and industry analysts such as Gartner, presented at industry conferences,
and has created marketing collateral, presentations, white papers,
press releases and web site content. At Hewlett-Packard, Inc.,
he developed and managed programs for the introduction of a strategic
minicomputer I/O card and developed other vertical marketing and
customer upgrade programs. He has led numerous customer visits
in
support of sales initiatives.
Mr. Batty has an MBA from Harvard Business
School, a Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Concordia University,
Montreal, Canada,
and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University,
Montreal, Canada. Richard is also fluent in French.
